Music ............

and memories.....

.....lots of them!
Perhaps Deenie's "cookie jar" post to the Border Terrier List sums it up best....

Oh my! Where! oh where! to begin so many thank yous to EVERYONE???
I feel like a big black bear who found the pot 'o gold in the honey jar, but alas, I found "Daisy', Jenny's BT on "MY" cookie jar! AKA Bumble's kibble jar, which at long last, sigh, replaces what was once 'Crooker's cracked kibble container. May she rest in peace and may this jar (available @ www.washburnceramics.com) be one of the wonderful memories of Back to Basics, the 2004 BTCA (or is that BCTA??!!??!!) Specialty in Gardner, MA.
If you missed even one day of the festivities, my condolences to you! My hat goes off to EVERYONE present and EVERYONE who has spent YEARS organizing this event as a whole- and each and every event ( Thanks Ed for drinking coffee in the wee hours- and to Pam for jumping out o' bed and leaving that hunk o' Chris to find that Georgia peach!!!) You guys did have cameras didn't you, so we have it all on film????????????????
To the winners and the competitors and to the parade honorees,
To the chefs and the sous chefs and the bar tenderers too!
To the Judges, the Stewards- and supporters ringside-
To the cameramen, (camera) women and children, too few!
To the vets and the young un's and veterinarians around-
To the rats in the cages and any loose ones too!
To pump outs! and fill ups! and clean port a pots-
Wishing a week at the Game Club had been on for TWO!

The two Kates were up watching us down here below,
and sending their words in that afternoon storm!
I heard one Kate exclaim to the other Kate, too
What a show was put on- let's show them a show- now!
"With thundering, lightening, and puddles filled full-
Let's thunder some more and fill the pond FULL!"

Although Bumble and Bria are enjoying @ home
They are missing their leash walks and Borders galore!
Throw in the King Charles and Dane and a Dal-
N'er ever forgetting that Schnauz called Pea nut!!!
From learning the froggin' game and rats down a hole
They learned how to go downstairs but UP was not learned!

Many thanks to each one of you- by far all the best!
Not only in breed but in agil. and obed!
True type, and in class - its a clean sweep!
That these terriers go first class-and surely not cheap!
From grizzle's and tans to true blue dilutes
The memories stored-- as is all the loot!
The rat sign is hanging! The cookie jar filled
Jackets and purses and The CBTW crown jewels !

The auction MC- all showered and clean -
Dogs waiting in crates and those looking for mates-
The clams and the lobsters and corn on the cob-
The pond in reflection, and Palle with jigger-
Old friends and the new ones and those on the go-
The pictures will last us a lifetime and more!

Thank you ALL!
