Getting the Job Done

Roger finished what he started at the 2010 National Specialty by completing his AKC Rally Novice title at the Sand & Sea Kennel Club shows in Wildwood New Jersey on February 3/4, 2011
Our very helpful judge was Nancy Withers both days.
Roger's scores were a very respectable, 85 (including handler error) and 93

Nicely Done

Roger rounded out his Canadian Rally career earning his Rally Advanced title in three straight trials at the Island Dog Club Shows in PEI October 29-31, 2010.

Scoring 85 (4th place - judge Anne-Marie Leadbeater), 95 (judge Anne-Marie Leadbeater), 76 (judge Renee Morris).

Rally Success for Two Novices

Proving that his 2010 Specialty Rally Novice success was not a fluke, Roger earned his CKC Rally Novice title at the Maritime Group 7 Club trial and Halifax Kennel Clubs trials in Halifax NS, September 4-6, 2010.
Scoring 75 (judge Susan des Cotes - HKC), 95 (2nd place - judge Susan des Cotes - Maritime Group 7 Club), 91 (judge Brenda Juskow - HKC).

2010 Border Terrier Canada National Specialty Success - Jerseyville ON - June 26th

Following his success at the BTCA National Specialty, Roger did not rest on his laurels (though he did a lot of resting on other things), under British breeder judge Kathy Wilkinson he was first place veteran male and Best Veteran in Specialty.

2010 BTCA National Specialty Successes - Tryon NC - May 12-16

Roger was unscratched quickly from his Rally class when Anna saw how much fun it was - the pair went in cold without benefit of a course plan or walk through but somehow managed a qualifying run (the actual score is classified information) and a third place finish. Sincere thanks to Mary-Ellen for the Golf Cart transportaion to get him to the ring just in time.

In a more familiar venue, Roger was second in 13yrs and over Veteran Sweeps (judge Barbara Dalane) on Friday and then won the 13yrs and over Regular Veterans under Bob Naun on Sunday - what a thrill that was.

2007 BTCA National Specialty successes

Despite not feeling or showing his best, Rodger stepped out and placed 3rd in the 10-12yrs Veterans Sweepstakes Class on September 20th (Judge Linda Cribbs). He then repeated his performance and placement in the Regular 10-12yrs Veterans Class under British judge Leslie Gosling. The many complements from those at Ring side were worth every bit as much as his ribbon.

You can't keep a good dog down...........

Showing the youngsters a thing or two...again....at 9.5 years young Roger stepped into the show ring on July 28th, 2006 in Fredericton, levitated onto the examination table and impressed Judge Enrique Jorge Filippini (Argentina) enough to be chosen BOB above some very stiff (and young) competition including a son, grandson and several other top notch Canadian and US Borders.
In a very competitive Terrier group (13 breeds), Judge Filippini gave him the nod for 3rd.
What a guy to do this as veteran

Donation will be made to Parkinson's Society.

Showing the Youngsters...........

........a thing or two!
Roger didn't put a foot (or a tooth) wrong when he scurried, barked, growled and chewed his way to his CKC Junior Earthdog Title at the ECDC CKC Earthdog Tests in Beautiful Pictou County, Nova Scotia - September 10-11, 2005 (judges Pam Dyer and Teddy Moritz)
