Out and About
January - February, 2010

A new decade, new arrivals, snoozetime and "snowmaggedon"
(Click on photos for enlargement - most recent pictures generally at the top)

Roper, the new arrival at Lothlorien might be wishing she was back in Arizona

Habi - our Polish Border Terrier friend gave birth to thee lovely boys in January

Lizzie unimpressed by puppies or snow, knows the best way to handle winter

Almost looks like spring in PEI and Touzie has the feeling

It doesn't look too bad in NS either as Parker enjoys the "sea air"

... but "down south" in MD, Colin and Free have "no way out"....

...and in NJ, Scrimmage gets a taste of her Canadian heritage

...while in PA, Sophie and Fred see their yard in a whole new "white"

...little wonder that they are calling it "snowmaggedon"

Colin obviously appreciates the comfy new bed he got for Christmas

Whereas Gordie shuns a senior friendly set up in favour of a people seat

... and Ellie and Geordie-NS are quite happy to take over more than their fair share of Anne's bed

Lucky appears to be waiting eagerly for her human bedmate, her feline companion - not so much!!!

...and uncle/great uncle/distant cousin Gunter - well he's really chillin' out in Robyn's Orvis bean bag bed!

Proof that "chillin's" definitely in the genes - brother Roger looks as relaxed as can be or could it be that he is hoping for a belly rub?

Freddie appears to be working hard on looking comfortable

Touzie also favours the propped up scrunch position

while Sophie is more inclined to the "princess and the pea"

Bria may be a tiny but she makes a nice pillow for Bumble

Bonus takes the pragmatic "curl up in a ball" approach

Even Rusty the rescue is trying to look like "one of the family"

Bramble's attempt to imitate grandpa and great uncle meets with Winston's approval. Though I'm not sure that I would recommend a Border jaw as a "foot rest"

Zeke may be a bit miffed because Rusty the rescue has taken over the apartment complete with new couch, but at least he still has Boomer to cuddle up to!

Of course, at Gizmo's age (16 years and 9 months), a comfy bed is wherever you happen to be when the need for a nap overtakes you.

Canadian Artic? No! Jacqueline, Geordie, Iseabail and Tristan on an English Beach - good job they have Kimba in case they need a sled dog.

Canadian snow bird taking off? No - just Ellie flying high with the joy of a Nova Scotia winter - they have also had their fair share of the white stuff this winter.

"S'now way to go hunting" - not really sure if Tank is looking for mice in the subnivean layer or trying to dig to Australia where she has heard the weather is warmer
